חודשים התחילו העבודות להקמת
חומת ההפרדה בכפר אל-ולאג'ה שנמצא 10 דקות נסיעה מירושלים ובמרחק ואדי אחד
משכונותיה. במהלך העבודות נעקרו מאות עצי פרי של חקלאים פלסטינים. החומה
מנתקת את
הכפר מ-2000 דונם מאדמותיו ולכשתושלם היא תקיף את הכפר לחלוטין: היציאה
מהכפר –
לבית הספר, לעבודה, לבית חולים וכו' – תתאפשר דרך שער יחיד שמור על ידי
חיילים
שיתפקד כמחסום. </span></p>
